We’re on the hunt for an experienced and driven digital editor with a proven track record of growing digital content. The ideal candidate should have experience in a fast-paced news room, a keen eye for a traffic-driving news story, and be well-versed in SEO and social best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Primarily responsible for content generation, content performance and audience growth across digital and social.
• Work closely with the CCO to go through digital analytics and to refine content strategy and increase user engagement.
• Write for an online audience and manage the brand’s social media accounts.
• Represent the brand at relevant events.
• Identify and create fresh, engaging and original video content and audio content.
• Support commercial projects.
• Undertake necessary image production activities.
• Update and maintain time-sensitive material.
• Expected to contribute towards the main magazine and supplements as well
• Frequently visit Saudi Arabia to assist in the growth of What’s On Saudi Arabia.

Qualifications:

• Graduate in Journalism or related course.
• Background in lifestyle or entertainment journalism.
• Minimum of 5 years and above relevant professional work experience.

Skills:

• Proven track record in growing digital content.
• Must have an eye for a good story and a solid understanding of how to optimise content for SEO.
• Well-versed in social media best practices and content production.
• Must meet deadlines and have strong time management skills.
• Excellent communicator with strong attention to detail.
• A confident multi-tasker and self-starter
